The Films of Jennifer and Kevin McCoy

Internationally recognized new media artists Jennifer and Kevin McCoy will present three film installations as part of their exhibition "The Films of Jennifer and Kevin McCoy." The works, titled “Broker,” “Cleaner,” and “Quitter,” are presented together for the first time, completing a thematic arc that began in 2016 with “Broker.” The exhibition also features the inaugural installation of “Quitter,” a 2025 experimental video exploring the challenges of breaking modern life patterns, featuring artist Eve Sussman and music by Lori Scacco.

The exhibition is hosted at Hudson Valley Community College’s Teaching Gallery, located on the ground floor of the Administration Building in Troy, N.Y. An opening event on Thursday, September 24, includes an artist talk by Jennifer and Kevin McCoy from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium, followed by a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Teaching Gallery. All opening events and the exhibit are free and open to the public.

The Teaching Gallery's hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday; and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The production of “Quitter” was made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts.
