The 2026 Port Townsend Film Festival showcases a diverse program including 12 films, two free musical events, and discussions. The festival opens with a screening of “Los Lobos Native Sons,” a documentary about the band Los Lobos. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to see Los Lobos perform live in a concert at Fort Worden’s McCurdy Pavilion on Monday, September 28.

Key events include a conversation with Oscar-, Golden Globe-, and Emmy-nominated Mexican-American filmmaker Gregory Nava on Saturday, September 26, whose film “El Norte” will also be screened. Three free outdoor movies are scheduled for Taylor Street, featuring “La Bamba” on Friday, September 25, along with Disney’s “Coco” and “Stand and Deliver.”
