The State Fair of Texas returns for its annual run, providing over three weeks of festivities in Dallas. The 2026 edition introduces two new thrill rides to the Midway: Thor, a pendulum-style ride that performs vertical flips, and Impact, which features suspended cars that swing as they elevate. Fair organizers have implemented an average 17% reduction in ride and game prices to improve value for attendees following previous feedback regarding costs.

Food remains a central attraction, highlighted by the "Every Day Values" initiative. This program identifies numerous snacks, meals, and beverages available for 10 coupons or less, such as tamales, pizza, and specialty drinks. Additionally, regional brands like ShiverSticks will offer natural popsicles at various vendor carts throughout the grounds.

Families can visit the redesigned Kidway area, which includes dedicated entertainment, games, and value-priced concessions. Traditional landmarks like the Texas Star Ferris Wheel and the Top o’ Texas Tower continue to provide panoramic views of the city. Safety remains a priority, with independent inspectors conducting checks on the fair's more than 70 rides throughout the event's duration.
