The GQ House Launch Event

The GQ House Launch Event is set to take place on September 19, 2026, in Gqeberha, South Africa. This public, ticketed event will serve as the official introduction to "The GQ House," a new reality entertainment platform. The project is designed to offer significant opportunities for young creatives and performers who are connected to Gqeberha and the broader Eastern Cape region.

The concept behind "The GQ House" was developed by Maqina with the goal of creating something impactful in Gqeberha while giving individuals a chance to be seen, heard, and discovered. While the show itself will feature 25 personalities living in one house for 30 days, focusing on creativity, relationships, challenges, and individual journeys, its vision extends beyond the on-screen talent. The initiative aims to generate opportunities for a wide range of behind-the-scenes roles, including photographers, videographers, designers, presenters, social media creators, event workers, and production teams, highlighting the extensive industry behind entertainment.

The first season of "The GQ House" is currently in development and pre-production. The September 19 launch event will formally introduce the project to the public, with a strong initial response indicated by the sale of 300 tickets. The premiere date for the reality show itself will be announced once final production arrangements are confirmed.
