The Lompoc Chalks festival offers a community-first experience where visitors can watch artists from throughout California create chalk masterpieces from early sketches to completed artwork. The event kicks off on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Meet the Artists Kick Off, where guests can interact with featured artists, organizers, and members of the Lompoc Theatre Project, accompanied by classic hits spun by DJ BargainBin.

On Saturday and Sunday, artists continue their work throughout the day, providing an engaging experience for the public. The festival includes a Kids Corner offering free chalking squares, face painting, and games. Attendees can also enjoy live performances from various groups, including the Lompoc High School Sapphire Dance Team and Ua Noe Polynesian Dance on Saturday, and Skunk Puppy and Garcia Dance Studio on Sunday. Food trucks, crafts, and vendors will be on site, along with a silent auction benefiting the Lompoc Theatre Project.

The festival hours are 5-8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free, and complimentary shuttles will operate every 30 minutes between the festival location and city public parking lots on South I Street on Saturday and Sunday. Pets are not allowed at the event.
