All non-perishable donations are designated for the Cooperative Christian Ministry to assist families in the local area.

A parade of fire trucks from various regional departments starts at 6 p.m. The route begins at the intersection of Biotechnology Lane and Laureate Way, proceeds to North Carolina Research Campus Drive, and concludes back at Watson Creek Drive. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating to view the procession of emergency vehicles.

Public parking is available at both City Hall lots, though the roundabout in front of the building will be closed during the parade. The event also incorporates a community blood drive as part of its service activities.
