The centerpiece of the month is the ‘Texture’ show, which explores both physical and visual surface manipulation through mediums such as encaustic, ceramics, and felting. This group exhibition is complemented by solo displays, including painter Polly Palecek’s 'Eighty Revolutions around the Sun' and photography by high school senior Daniel Montoya on the Young Artist wall. Gary and Karen Wallaert also present wood turning and acrylic works in the main gallery.

In addition to the static displays, the program includes a hands-on basket weaving workshop on Sunday, October 11. Led by Pomo educator Corine Pearce, the session teaches twine weaving techniques to beginners. Participants create their own small baskets using provided materials. All activities take place at the shared venue on South State Street in Ukiah.
