Morgan County Fair

The Morgan County Fair is an annual celebration focusing on local agriculture, youth development, and community engagement. The 2026 schedule begins with various 4-H events, including horse shows, dog obedience trials, and specialized contests such as rocket flying and creative cooking. While the majority of activities take place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds and the Mark Arndt Event Center, auxiliary events like the Public Fashion Revue are hosted at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan.

Livestock competitions are a major highlight, with dedicated days for judging poultry, rabbits, goats, sheep, swine, and cattle. In addition to traditional agricultural shows, the fair offers high-energy entertainment such as the Ultimate Bullfighters competition and an adult cornhole tournament. Social gatherings, including a free breakfast sponsored by the Morgan County Farm Bureau and various civic-sponsored concessions, provide hospitality to visitors throughout the eleven-day duration.

The fair also hosts an Open Class Floriculture and Garden Crops Show, where residents exhibit local produce, flowers, and field crops. This portion of the event includes a "Tiny Tots" division for younger children and specialized categories for youth and adults, ranging from standard hybrid corn classes to novelty entries like the tallest corn stalk. Most judging sessions for these exhibits are open for public viewing.
