Kai Kai & Jia Jia’s Birthday Celebrations At River Wonders

The event at River Wonders' Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest celebrates the 19th birthday of Kai Kai and the 18th birthday of Jia Jia. Jia Jia's celebration took place on September 5th, while Kai Kai's upcoming celebration is scheduled for September 13th at 12pm. During these celebrations, visitors can observe the pandas enjoying specially prepared ice cakes and treat-filled enrichments, designed to encourage natural foraging behaviors and mental engagement.

In addition to the birthday festivities, River Wonders presents the Panda Planet Immersive Experience. This exhibition, which is making its first stop outside China, is open daily from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm. Entry is included with River Wonders admission and the exhibition is located outside the Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest. It features three themed zones: the Giant Panda Science Zone, the Kai Kai & Jia Jia Birthday Zone, and the Panda Planet Immersive Experience: MR Experience Zone.

Visitors can engage in interactive activities, learn about panda evolution, behaviors, and conservation efforts. The experience also offers opportunities to discover fun facts about Kai Kai and Jia Jia, explore a virtual bamboo forest through mixed reality, participate in panda science trivia challenges, take photos at panda-themed photo points, and redeem exclusive iPanda merchandise. Kai Kai and Jia Jia, who arrived in Singapore in 2012, are set to return to China in 2027 as part of a conservation and diplomatic partnership.
