The Sci-Fi Pop-up Library by NLB is a self-service cultural exhibition located at Parkway Parade, Singapore. The futuristic space, open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, offers free admission. Visitors can browse and borrow from a collection of close to 4,000 English sci-fi books, graphic novels, and comics suitable for all ages. The library also showcases artworks, including 'Singapore 2126' illustrations by Kristal Melson, which reimagine local icons in a futuristic light, as well as original sci-fi novel cover art and figures from The Imaginariad's collection, spanning genres like space opera, dystopian, and cyberpunk. A special section highlights the growth of local sci-fi and features works by homegrown authors. Entry is facilitated by scanning a library-compliant ID card, NLB eCard, or requesting a QR code day pass via the NLB website.
The pop-up runs from May 18, 2026, through April 11, 2027, providing a glimpse into the future through literature and art.
