Celestial Nights

Organized in conjunction with the National Parks Board (NParks), Celestial Nights offers a variety of programs. Visitors can explore the free Celestial Trail, an illuminated path connecting Science Centre and Japanese Garden, which showcases deep-space displays and educates on various moons in the solar system. Completing trail activities may unlock a discount on a limited-edition Quby pin.

Free stargazing and moon-viewing sessions will be available on the evenings of September 25 and 26 at Science Centre’s Observatory and the Water Lily Pavilion at Japanese Garden, running at 15-minute intervals from 7:45pm to 10pm, subject to weather. The event also includes outdoor food and beverage pop-ups at the Science Centre courtyard, offering complimentary White Rabbit ice cream while stocks last. Musician Chalmers Wong will perform live acoustic sets on September 25 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Ticketed programs include "Moon Legends: From Myth to Mission," a 20-minute live digital planetarium experience at the Omni-Theatre, covering tales of Chang’e, Hou Yi, and modern lunar exploration. Tickets for this show and observatory viewing are available for $4. On September 26, the "Moonbeats: Afterdark" silent disco parade will proceed from the Science Centre to Japanese Garden and back to Science Centre Hall A. Later, the Science Centre's galleries will transform into an after-hours playground with multiple DJ channels. Tickets for this program are $25 per person or $40 for a pair, including a TCM-inspired botanical drink.
