The series consists of two distinct programs. 'Radiance' focuses on the dramatic intensity of Richard Wagner, featuring excerpts from his operas Tannhäuser and Parsifal, performed in Wellington and Auckland. This program also celebrates tenor Simon O’Neill’s 30-year history with the orchestra. The 'Myths & Legends' program explores Nordic repertoire, including the New Zealand premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s Violin Concerto No. 2 and works by Jean Sibelius. This second program will be staged in Wellington, Auckland, and Hamilton.

In addition to the main performances, the NZSO is hosting several free community events. 'Tamariki Time' offers an interactive musical introduction for children aged 3–7, including relaxed sessions designed for neurodivergent audiences. Musician of all skill levels can also participate in 'Orchestra Jam,' an informal play-along session featuring popular scores from media such as Minecraft and Wicked. Masterclasses for aspiring musicians are also scheduled in Wellington and Auckland.
