The TAHI NZ Festival of Solo Performance brings a vibrant array of solo theatre to Wellington (Pōneke) from September 9 to 19, 2026. The festival's program is its most ambitious to date, featuring more than 25 solo performers from Aotearoa and abroad.

Attendees can expect a diverse range of performances, from music, poetry, and gig theatre to narratives exploring identity, belonging, nature, and whānau. Featured artists include RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under star Anita Wigl'it, acclaimed playwright Duncan Sarkies, and multi-award-winning comedian Mamaeroa (Mo) Munn, alongside Australian artists Lucy Heffernan and Dave Houston. In addition to performances, the festival offers theatre-making workshops for emerging and established artists, and supports the next generation of solo theatre-makers through its HATCH emerging artists programme and Creative Residencies, fostering new works with mentorship and production support.
