Mental Wellbeing Weeks

The Mental Wellbeing Weeks, in its fifth edition, is an intermunicipal initiative in Luxembourg, with the municipalities of Betzdorf, Junglinster, and Niederanven collaborating with CNAPA and the Luxembourg League for Mental Hygiene. Held under the slogan "We all carry baggage; together, let us move forward more lightly," the program is designed to improve understanding of mental disorders, encourage dialogue, strengthen public awareness, and combat stigma.

The diverse program features conferences, workshops, training courses, film screenings, creative activities, and opportunities for social interaction. Specific activities include mental health first aid training offered in Luxembourgish, French, and English (including for adolescents), a conference on menopause and puberty, a workshop dedicated to understanding depression, watercolor painting workshops, and intergenerational activities. Film screenings will feature movies such as *The Intouchables* and *Strong*, alongside sports and outdoor activities like walks and a canine gathering.

The highlight of the weeks is the "Artists for Mental Health – Concerts with Commentary," scheduled for Saturday 10 October 2026 at 20:00 at the "A Schommesch" Multipurpose Centre in Oberanven. This concert will bring together Luxembourg-based artists including Eva Marija, Maz Univerze, Nicool, Ninon, Lata Gouveia, Josh Island, Daniel Balthasar, Pink-Knife, Blame Emeraude, and Krick. Through musical performances, testimonies, and discussions, the event invites the public to explore how art and music can contribute to expressing emotions, fostering dialogue, and strengthening mental health.
