Design Miami.Seoul 2026

Design Miami.Seoul 2026 functioned as a leading international exhibition for high-quality furniture and decorative art. Over its seven-day run from August 31 to September 6, the event at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul attracted nearly 12,000 attendees and generated more than 50 significant sales transactions, with some international galleries completely selling their inventories.

This edition, the fair's second in Seoul, was organized by the Seoul Design Foundation and Design Miami. Under the theme "Resonance: Design in Dialogue," the program was expanded to include a gallery section, an "In Situ" program featuring Asian designers, a partner brand program, and a series of design talks. The exhibition presented approximately 230 works from over 100 designers, featuring contributions from six international galleries and nine partner brands, including Samsung Electronics and Alloso.

The design talks program on September 3 brought together 13 prominent creative leaders to discuss the collectible design market and the future role of technology in design. Notable sales included pieces from Italy's Alex Turco Gallery, Korea's In Gallery, and Belgium's Stack, with Stack reportedly selling out its entire collection and planning to establish a retail presence in Korea.

Organizers expressed their intention to host Design Miami.Seoul again the following year, highlighting Seoul's emerging role as a hub for collectible design and potential collaboration with Frieze Seoul, also held at DDP.
