  • Free admission with lottery allocation for general public
The annual Seokjojeon Concert, a guitar and harp performance, is scheduled for June 24 at Seokjojeon, a Western-style stone building within Deoksugung Palace in Seoul. This cultural event, which was first launched in 2015 in partnership with the Kumho Cultural Foundation, continues the palace's historical connection to music, referencing performances before King Gojong during the Korean Empire.

The 2026 concert is themed "Eunmirok," meaning "recording hidden beauty." Guitarists Park Ji-hyung and Kim Jin-kyu, along with harpist Lee Woo-jin, are slated to perform pieces such as Gabriel Faure's "Impromptu for Harp, Op. 86" and Astor Piazzolla's "Tango Suite for Two Guitars." Classical music curator Lee Sang-min will host the event, with accompaniment from the Kumho Soloists.

Admission to the concert is free, with 80 seats available. Thirty seats are reserved for socially disadvantaged groups, while 40 of the remaining 50 seats for the general public are distributed via an online lottery. Applications for the lottery are typically open for a short period through the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center website. The remaining 10 seats are available on-site for visitors aged 65 and older, people with disabilities, and foreign nationals. Additionally, general admission to Deoksugung Palace will be free on the concert day as part of the monthly Culture Day program.
