Fidan Hajiyeva International Opera Festival

Under the artistic direction of People's Artist and maestro Yalchin Adigozalov, the festival's extensive program includes symphonic concerts, chamber music evenings, master classes, literary and artistic gatherings, and educational events. A significant initiative is the "Young Voices Speak to the Future" project, which provides opportunities for emerging vocalists to showcase their talents, gain professional stage experience through solo concerts and joint performances, and present their work to a wider audience. Many events are held at the Fidan Hajiyeva Vocal Music School and various higher education institutions to engage younger audiences with classical music.

The festival officially opened at the Summer Theatre of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall in Baku. Its geographical reach extends beyond Baku and different regions of Azerbaijan to international venues in Paris, London, Milan, and Minsk. This broad scope is intended to showcase Azerbaijani opera culture to a global audience and foster international cultural cooperation through music.

The three-month celebration culminates on December 7, 2026, with a grand anniversary gala concert titled "Carmen: Half a Century of Artistic Life" at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku. This finale will feature Fidan Hajiyeva performing alongside the Niyazi State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Yalchin Adigozalov, and a renowned Spanish flamenco ensemble, creating a unique dialogue between opera and flamenco traditions.
