Celebrating its 21st anniversary, the fair has evolved from a small community effort into a major tradition in Chiang Mai. Organizers aim for the fair to be carbon-neutral by measuring and offsetting its operational emissions. Because parking at Boonthavorn Gardens is limited, shuttle songtaews are provided from Central Airport Plaza and a designated nearby petrol station to assist attendees with transportation.
