IMMERSIO 2026: PASAR

IMMERSIO 2026: PASAR is a multidisciplinary art festival that transforms the everyday rituals of Southeast Asian markets into a diverse creative showcase. Featuring work from over 100 artists and creative technologists from across Asia, the festival presents more than 70 unique artworks. The event is distributed across several key locations in Kuala Lumpur, with the primary exhibition hosted at GMBB and additional programming at Muzium Telekom, REXKL, and Ombak KLCC.

The 2026 theme, "PASAR," focuses on the sights, sounds, and social interactions found in traditional markets. Notable exhibits include a playable video game based on the Indonesian gemstone trade, digital recreations of disappearing wet markets, and creative interpretations of common local objects like the Malaysian "ikat tepi." Visitors can engage with various media ranging from large-scale projections and sculptures to live artist sharing sessions.

Different venues cater to specific audiences and artistic styles. Muzium Telekom features new media works by students from various academies, while REXKL serves as a hub for performances and artist talks during the final weekend. For families, a specialized digital experience at Ombak KLCC allows children to interact with technology-driven displays. The main exhibition at GMBB is open daily except for Mondays, with ticket tiers available for single entry or multi-day access.
