2026 Autumn K-Royal Culture Festival

The festival officially kicks off on the evening of October 6 at Gyeongbok Palace’s Heungnyemun Gate with a special outdoor recording of the music program 'Immortal Songs.' This opening event features a blend of traditional Korean music and modern K-pop, with performances by artists such as Kim Young-im, Song Ga-in, and NMIXX. To accommodate global interest, organizers have reserved dedicated seating quotas and English-guided tours specifically for international visitors.

Each palace offers a unique thematic experience during the five-day run. Gyeongbok Palace hosts a 'Hanbok Banquet' on October 9 and 10, featuring royal processions and artisan demonstrations. Changdeok Palace provides early-morning walking tours of its secret garden with English narration and a contemporary craft exhibition. Meanwhile, Changgyeong Palace presents theatrical reenactments of daily court life and media art light installations around Chundangji Pond.

Historical education and anniversary commemorations are central to the autumn edition. Deoksu Palace marks the 100th anniversary of Emperor Sunjong’s passing with a special exhibition and AI-assisted history sessions. Youth-oriented programs are also available, including architectural mission tours at Jongmyo Shrine and a royal etiquette school for children at Deoksu Palace. Most major events require advance reservations, which typically open in early September.
