Scheduled to run from December 2 to December 12, 2027, Fanomenon is an inaugural integrated festival aimed at establishing South Korea as a global hub for the fandom industry. The event is a joint venture between the Popular Culture Exchange Committee and the nation's four largest entertainment agencies: HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG. Organizers expect the festival to attract over 500,000 visitors, including 200,000 international tourists, with a significant projected economic impact.

The festival's activities are divided between two primary venues. The newly constructed Seoul Arena in Chang-dong will host headline K-pop performances and a distinctive awards ceremony. In this ceremony, awards are presented to fandoms to recognize their global passion and influence, with artists or brands accepting the trophies on their fans' behalf. Simultaneously, the KINTEX exhibition center in Goyang will be transformed into an interactive cultural expo. This site will feature showcases dedicated to K-beauty, fashion, food, gaming, webtoons, and eSports.

The South Korean government is providing administrative support for the event, including streamlined immigration and specialized safety protocols. Following the 2027 debut, there are plans to expand the Fanomenon brand internationally, with a potential follow-up event in Los Angeles in 2028.
