Researchers’ Night

Researchers’ Night is an annual science festival that transforms institutions across Hungary into hubs of scientific exploration for two days. The event is organized by the Regional Center for Information and Scientific Development, with Béla Kardon as the main scientific director in Hungary. Visitors can explore a diverse array of programs, from in-depth lectures on topics like climate change denial and geothermal energy to interactive presentations on cutting-edge fields such as hydrogen technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, and satellite communications.

The festival extends its reach to approximately 200 institutions, universities, and research centers in over 60 towns and cities. Notable activities have included a musical fashion show exploring Roma women's culture, a lecture on motion tracking and EEG in Budapest, and specific contributions from partners like Ericsson Hungary, which hosts programs on cybersecurity, researchers' hobby showcases, and discussions on the future of 6G networks. These programs offer unique opportunities for the public to engage directly with researchers and learn about current innovations and scientific advancements.
