"The Age of the Scythians in the Heart of the Great Hungarian Plain" is a significant archaeological showcase presented through a partnership between the Katona József Museum and regional institutions. Regarded as the most substantial Scythian exhibition in Hungary in approximately 25 years, the display features artifacts that highlight the migration and trade networks of Iron Age populations. Visitors can view weapons, jewelry, and objects related to burial customs, many of which are being displayed publicly for the first time.

Notable exhibits include finds from the Szabadszállás cemetery and the remains of a Scythian warhorse uncovered during 2023 excavations in Kecskemét. To enhance the visitor experience, the exhibition includes interactive displays, reconstruction drawings, and replicas. A dedicated children’s area is also available to engage younger audiences with ancient history and archaeological science.
