Lev Koter festival

The Lev Koter festival, frequently referred to as Lev Kotev, is an annual cultural celebration held over two days in the Western and Northern Negev of Israel. Scheduled for September 17-18, the event aims to foster a connection between various artistic disciplines—including writing, literature, and music—and the distinctive communities, such as kibbutzim and moshavim, alongside the natural settings of the region.

The festival offers a diverse program designed to engage attendees, encompassing a range of writing workshops, masterclasses, and intimate encounters with artists. These activities, along with various performances and outdoor events, often occur in local natural sites and sometimes in unconventional venues, providing unique settings for creative exploration and interaction. Specific events include a masterclass on creation and music by Yali Sobol in Sderot, a character writing and plot building workshop by Shiri Artzi in Nir Akiva, and a mindfulness and intuitive writing workshop led by Dana Berger in Ein Habesor. Additionally, a lecture on storytelling will be presented by Maya Kosover in Nahal Oz, and the festival also highlights music through performances and encounters specifically arranged for local locations.
