Homegrown festival

Richard Corrigan’s annual Homegrown festival is an intimate weekend culinary retreat held at the eighteenth-century Virginia Park Lodge estate in Co. Cavan. For its third consecutive year in 2026, the restaurateur opens his private hunting estate to host a limited group of approximately 80 guests for a celebration of fine dining, music, and the Irish countryside.

The 2026 program features an exceptional lineup of culinary talent, including Dame Prue Leith, Angela Hartnett, and Henry Harris. Throughout the retreat, these chefs collaborate to create menus inspired by the estate's own larder and gardens. Guests have the opportunity to stay on-site in the main lodge, at the nearby Deerpark Inn, or in bespoke shepherd’s huts located throughout the grounds.

In addition to the culinary offerings, the festival incorporates live entertainment and rural activities. Performances by artists such as Mary Coughlan provide a musical backdrop to the weekend. The event concludes with a final supper that showcases a diverse range of culinary philosophies, spanning from traditional wild fish smoking to contemporary Mexican flavors.
