Féile na Sean Bheairice 2026

Féile na Sean Bheairice 2026 invites attendees to a spectacular celebration of Donegal’s rich cultural heritage in the heart of An Fál Carrach on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, 2026. The festival promises a memorable weekend filled with music, song, dance, arts, crafts, and community spirit.

The festivities officially commence on Friday, June 26 at 7:30 pm with an opening ceremony featuring renowned performer Brian O’Donnell, followed by a special live concert with Daniel Cullen and friends.

Saturday, June 27, offers a full day of activities starting at 11 am with a Sean-Nós Singing Workshop for children led by Patricia Nic Ruairi. This is followed by Corn Éamoinn Ghráinne do Dhaoine Óga, a Sean-Nós singing competition for young people, at 12 pm. From noon, An tSean Bheairic will host an Outdoor Festival, featuring traditional local musicians, food stalls, local crafts, and a basket-weaving demonstration. At 2 pm, visitors can participate in a Sean-Nós Dancing Workshop with Frank and Eileen Sweeney, complemented by a dance exhibition with music by Martin Duggan. A major highlight is the Sean-Nós Singing Competition held in memory of Eamonn Ghráinne Mac Ruairí of Tory Island and Falcarragh, where competitors vie for the prestigious Eamoinn Ghrainne Memorial Cup. The festival concludes with ‘An Céilí Mór’, an evening of music, dancing, and craic led by Martin Duggan on button accordion.
