The Summer Cottage Market Event 2026

The Summer Cottage Market Event 2026 is a free, two-day outdoor fair scheduled for Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, 2026, running daily from 12 noon to 6pm. Held at Con Smith Park in Cavan, Ireland, the event transforms the park into a vibrant showcase of local artisan talent, food, and culture, featuring more than 40 Cavan-based vendors.

Attendees can explore diverse offerings across food, arts, and crafts. The DineYard and Food Court areas will serve hot food, local produce, and take-home treats from popular vendors such as Forest Hill Farm, Aunty Netta’s, People’s Restaurant, and The Pigs Tail. The Barrel Marquee will highlight 10 local makers, including members of the Cavan Craft Collective. The event also continues its second year of The Cottage Market Zero Waste Programme, supported by Cavan County Council Environmental Section.

Entertainment includes a new Open-Air Art Gallery, a live Plein Air Event, and original outdoor art installations by Cavan-based artists Julie Karlshøj and Elena Duff. The Drama & Demo Tent hosts the lively 40-minute comedy "What Are We Eatin’ Anyways?", along with live chef demonstrations and storytelling sessions. Throughout both days, local Cavan musicians will perform at the Bandstand. Families can enjoy the Family Fun Zone, complete with a Cavan-based juggler, face painting, Gaelic games with a jumbo rebounder, the Croí na Foraoise Forest School, and a brand-new Honesty Box Trail.
