Slane Castle Concerts

The Slane Castle Concerts will take place on July 18 and 19, 2026, featuring American country music sensation Luke Combs as the headliner. This event is a significant milestone for Slane Castle, as it is the first time in its history that a single artist will perform back-to-back concerts over two consecutive days. It also represents the first concert series under the stewardship of Alex Conyngham, taking over from his late father, Lord Henry Mount Charles.

The sold-out shows are expected to draw over 160,000 attendees to the County Meath venue. Such a large-scale event necessitates extensive collaboration between MCD Productions, Meath County Council, An Garda Síochána, and the Slane Community Forum. Preparations include detailed traffic management plans with road closures, designated parking areas, and shuttle bus services to manage the significant influx of visitors.

To ensure community well-being, an Essential Community Guide has been distributed to residents, outlining event operations, access arrangements, and emergency contact information. A community benefit fund exceeding €60,000 has been established to support local clubs and projects, and a dedicated residents' support line operates during the concert weekend. Support acts for the event include The Script, with surprise appearances by artists such as Garron Noone and Dermot Kennedy also noted.
