Hosted by the City of Williams Lake, this community celebration takes place at Boitanio Park on Wednesday, July 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The festivities begin with a March on the Colours and a performance of 'O Canada' by the Williams Lake Community Band. Live entertainment continues throughout the morning with a performance by the Prince George-based country music group, the Chris Goodwin Band.

A major feature for the 2026 celebration is the 'Canada Day Kickoff,' a community soccer event organized in partnership with the Williams Lake Youth Soccer Association. This new addition includes youth skills competitions, coaching sessions, and games on specially lined pitches, celebrating Canada's role as a FIFA World Cup host nation.

Family-friendly attractions include a giant slip 'n' slide, various children's games, and booths hosted by local vendors and community organizations. Attendees can also enjoy a large ceremonial cake, measuring eight feet by four feet, which is traditionally donated by Save-On-Foods and served to the public during the event.
