Night Music and Markets

Scheduled for two specific dates in July and August, Night Music and Markets offers a festive atmosphere from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event expands on the traditional daytime farmers market format by including a wider range of artists and crafters alongside professional entertainers. Proceeds from vendor fees are used by the Castlegar & District Heritage Society to maintain local historical facilities.

The 2026 entertainment program features musical acts like soulful pop artist Paris Pick, the classic rock and country cover band Jaxson Drive, and singer-songwriter Tenise Marie. The UCRA Mountain String Band also performs, bringing a mix of bluegrass and folk to the museum grounds. Adding to the variety, drag performers L. Bee and Ella Lamoureux provide witty, family-oriented entertainment at intervals throughout the evening.

A key feature of the event is the "Eat Local" raffle, which raises money to ensure performers receive fair compensation. Prizes include gift certificates from regional restaurants and produce packages from local farms. The Station Museum also remains open for extended hours during the markets, allowing visitors to explore local history between musical sets.
