Fiddle Workshop and Public Concert with Gordon Stobbe and JJ Guy

Canadian fiddle players Gordon Stobbe and JJ Guy will host a specialized one-day fiddle workshop and a public performance in Castlegar on July 15, 2026. These activities were organized to replace a four-day music camp originally scheduled for mid-July that was cancelled.

The daytime program features a workshop held at Selkirk College. Led by Stobbe and Guy, the educational session is open to participants for a fee of $40. Both instructors are recognized for their expertise in traditional Canadian fiddle music and regional instructional camps.

Following the workshop, the duo will perform a public concert at Harry’s Hall in Castlegar. This evening performance is open to the community with free admission, providing an accessible way for the public to experience live traditional music. The musicians are also scheduled to appear in Trail, British Columbia, the following evening.
