Rods N’ Rails Classic Car Show

The Rods N’ Rails Classic Car Show is a established Father’s Day tradition located at the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum & Heritage Centre (NORMHC) in Capreol. The event showcases an extensive collection of classic vehicles, including vintage automobiles, sport compacts, and custom-built cars. Hosted in partnership with the Sudbury Street Rod Association, the show includes unique activities such as Valve Cover Races, Belt Toss Games, and the presentation of the “Club Choice Award.”

In addition to the automotive displays, the event highlights the region's railway history through a Model Train Show hosted by the Sudbury Railway Modellers. Visitors can enjoy live music from local performers, a community barbecue, and a licensed beer tent. The morning typically begins with a public breakfast hosted by the local Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps at the Capreol Royal Canadian Legion.

Admission to the show is free for the public, and vehicle registration is also provided at no cost for participants. To encourage attendance from across Greater Sudbury, free transit services are often provided to the venue. The festival serves as a major community gathering that combines mechanical interest with local heritage and family activities.
