This three-day festival brings together sculptors, muralists, painters, musicians, poets, photographers, and artisans who work live in public, allowing visitors to watch their pieces take shape and interact with the artists. Beyond the live art creation, the event features a diverse program including workshops hosted by various artists, break dancing sessions, dance performances, street theatre, jazz and flamenco recitals, and activities specifically designed for children.

Founded in 2016, The Art Tolox initiative aims to offer residents and visitors a unique opportunity to witness the artistic creative process, an aspect of art often hidden from public view. Another key objective of this gathering is to shift the focus of contemporary art beyond traditional urban centers, bringing it instead to the heart of inland Andalucía.

Each year, the artworks produced during the festival are generously donated to the municipality. This contribution helps to create a free, open-air museum that remains accessible to the public 365 days a year. The 2026 edition is expected to feature more than 100 philanthropic artists.
