Smart City Expo World Congress 2026

Organized by Fira de Barcelona, the 2026 edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) serves as a global platform for urban innovation. This year’s program is structured around seven thematic tracks: Enabling Technologies, Energy & Environment, Mobility, Governance & Economy, Living & Inclusion, Infrastructure & Building, and Blue Economy. A significant addition to the 2026 lineup is the inaugural HOWS Barcelona housing summit, which addresses urban planning, land policy, and affordable residential solutions.

The exhibition floor features major global technology firms, including Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Dell Technologies, and Deutsche Telekom IoT. A new showcase titled "Terra50" will debut, highlighting fifty of the world's most effective sustainability solutions for urban environments. Over 600 experts are scheduled to speak, including futurist Nikolas Badminton and Ayumi Moore Aoki, focusing on the future of cities, strategic foresight, and the role of diversity in innovation.

To foster cross-industry collaboration, the expo is held concurrently with several specialized events. These include the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress, Tomorrow.Blue Economy, the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit, and the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress. Together, these events consolidate Barcelona's position as a central meeting point for global urban innovation and digital transformation.
