BTS “Arirang” world tour

The Santiago stop of the BTS “Arirang” world tour features three performances at the Estadio Nacional, scheduled for October 14, 16, and 17, 2026. Organized by promoter DG Medios, the concerts follow the group's 2026 album release and represent their first standalone stadium appearances in Chile. Each night is expected to attract approximately 48,000 fans, with all three dates selling out shortly after tickets became available.

The event gained significant media attention when the National Sports Institute initially withheld authorization for the stadium's central field. Officials expressed concern that the group's complex 360-degree stage setup, weighing roughly 600 tons, would damage the grass pitch and disrupt a busy calendar of sporting events, including national football matches. This decision prompted public demonstrations by fans in the Chilean capital.

Following a revised proposal, the Ministry of Sports approved the concerts in late July 2026. The updated plan includes technical safeguards such as using cranes from the surrounding athletics track to avoid heavy machinery on the grass and installing specialized ventilation covers for the pitch. This approval ensures the tour continues its Latin American leg as planned, with further stops scheduled for Peru, Argentina, and Brazil.
