The Umtiza Arts Festival’s visual arts programme opens at 6.30pm on July 24, 2026, at the Ann Bryant Art Gallery in East London. Two exhibitions are presented at the venue: the Main Gallery Exhibition and the East London Fine Art Society’s Anything but Painting Exhibition.

The Main Gallery Exhibition includes 101 works by 27 artists across painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media and contemporary art. In the Coach House, Anything but Painting features 60 works by 18 artists, including ceramics, textiles, photography, sculpture, fibre art and drawing.

The opening programme also includes live musical entertainment, a performance art exhibition, complimentary refreshments and opportunities to meet participating artists. Admission is free, and the invitation is open to the public, collectors, schools, businesses and visitors.
