SBT GRVL

SBT GRVL is an acclaimed gravel biking festival held annually in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, a region often called the "unofficial epicenter" for the sport due to its extensive "champagne gravel" roads. Established in 2019, the event quickly gained popularity, selling out its 2,750 rider cap. The festival spans a weekend, culminating in the main gravel rides on June 28th, which offer four course distances: 108, 73, 53, and 25 miles. The longest course draws a competitive national field and offers a $22,000 prize purse distributed among the fastest male and female finishers.

Beyond the competitive races, SBT GRVL is designed as an inclusive and fun experience for all levels of riders and attendees. The weekend festivities include a downtown expo, a new trail running race, a toddler bike race, and live music, among other activities. Organizers prioritize participant comfort and adventure, aiming to provide a supportive and less intimidating environment than traditional racing, encouraging participants to "get to the end and have an adventure" regardless of their gear or experience.
