Sisters Folk Festival

Celebrating its 28th year, the Sisters Folk Festival transforms the picturesque mountain town of Sisters into an Americana song paradise. The event showcases around 30 artists performing diverse folk music across seven stages, drawing nearly 4,000 visitors, some traveling from as far as North Carolina and Southern California. It is a significant event for local businesses, often marking their busiest weekend of the year.

Beyond the performances, the festival includes the Americana Song Academy, a four-day songwriting retreat hosted at Blue Lake in the Cascade Range. Here, performing artists instruct participants in music, songwriting, performance, and singing. This popular retreat sells out annually and fosters a strong sense of community among attendees and instructors.

The Sisters Folk Festival nonprofit also plays a vital role in expanding accessibility to music and arts education in Central Oregon. Through various programs, it has invested significantly in educational initiatives and provided tuition assistance to numerous youths and adults, demonstrating a deep integration with the local community.
