Organized by the Butterfly Strong Foundation, the day's events begin with a fourth annual fundraising outdoor yoga class at 10 a.m. at 14th Street and the sand in Hermosa Beach. Yoga teacher Dana Richards, known as Malibu Dana, will lead the session with support from Soho Yoga. Later, from 5 to 8 p.m., the community gathers at Palmilla Cocina Y Tequila on Pier Avenue for the "Hermosa in Pink" pier lighting. During this evening gathering, the Hermosa Beach Pier will illuminate in pink at sunset, celebrating strength and honoring those affected by breast cancer. Both activities contribute to raising money and awareness for early detection, patient support, and breast cancer research throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
