Orange Country Fair

The Orange Country Fair, held annually on the fairgrounds at 525 Orange Center Road, emphasizes its agricultural roots, with almost all food prepared and cooked by volunteers for a family-friendly atmosphere. The fair attracts thousands for a weekend of exhibits, competitions, and entertainment.

Attendees can enjoy viewing farm animals, pig races, and entertainment tailored for children. The fair also hosts oxen and horse draw competitions, which feature significantly increased cash prizes. A notable attraction is the "largest reptile exhibit in the state," and a new event for this year, the Agrolympics, challenges teams with farming questions and chores on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Food is a major highlight, with specialties like "Pig Shots" (smoked bacon-wrapped kielbasa with creamy cheddar, jalapeno, and grape jelly drizzle), deep-fried cheesecake chimichangas, and a Grilled Summer Veggie Cheese Panini. Other offerings include mini corn dog nuggets, Pumpkin Harvest Grilled Cheese, smoked baby back ribs, BBQ chicken, fresh pizza, and a Monster Smash Burger. The event also features Chip’s annual pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Admission for adults is $10, senior citizens and active military pay $5, and children 14 and under are admitted free. Payments accepted include cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
