The City of Lights Film Festival opens Friday, September 18, at The Venue (21 S. Broadway) with "Adult Children," a Chicago-based film. Following the screening, producer Mark Glassgow will participate in a post-screening Q&A session. Opening night ticket holders also receive entry to an after-party at Craft Urban (41 S. Stolp Ave.).

The festival continues Saturday, September 19, at The Venue in downtown Aurora. The day's program includes the documentary feature "How To Build A Library," followed by a block of six student films from amateur filmmakers across the Midwest. Eight short films by Midwest filmmakers will close the festival, with most short and student filmmakers attending post-screening Q&As. A special 25th-anniversary legacy screening of the 2001 jukebox musical "Moulin Rouge" is also scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m.
