Greek Fest

Greek Fest is recognized as one of the longest-running Greek food festivals in the United States. Held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Spokane, the event offers a wide array of traditional dishes including gyros, pastitsio, and various pastries such as baklava and loukoumades. For the 90th anniversary, the festival includes a memorial wall in the courtyard that provides a historical look at the event's evolution since its inception.

Public participation is a key component, with dance instructors offering lessons on Thursday and Friday to encourage guests to learn basic steps. While evening and Saturday performances are reserved for youth dance groups, attendees are invited to join the dance party at other times. The festival also includes guided tours of the church, which provide insight into Greek Orthodox history and architecture.

Beyond cultural celebration, the event serves as a fundraiser for the parish and the broader community. In 2026, a portion of the proceeds is designated to support community members affected by the Spokane Complex fires. Special commemorative features for the 90th year include exclusive merchandise and a raffle for a throwback dinner featuring the festival's original menu from its earliest years.
