Summer Week on Clay

The Summer Week on Clay is an annual four-day festival taking place on Clay Avenue in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA, from September 10 to September 13, 2026. This celebration aims to highlight the city's cultural present and rich history through a diverse schedule of events. Organized by the Jeannette Initiative and Jeannette Business Association, the festival seeks to build on growing community momentum and draw attention to downtown activities.

The festival kicks off on Thursday with the Food Trucks and Concert Series, featuring live music from Brothers Kelly and various food and craft vendors. Friday's activities include a free Art Walk downtown, organized by Peinetti’s Bakery owner Jennifer Toughlian, which offers live art performances, demonstrations, sidewalk chalk art, food, and other interactive experiences. Organizers hope this event will expand significantly in the future.

Saturday transforms Clay Avenue with the free Glass City Heritage Festival, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the 500 and 600 blocks. This historical celebration includes demonstrations, music, and various activities. Concurrently, the "Jeannette Revival: Not the Same Place" art exhibition opens, showcasing local artists' work depicting changes in Jeannette. The day concludes with line dancing hosted by Jeannette American Legion Post 344.

The Summer Week on Clay concludes on Sunday with "Coffee and Cruise on Clay," a classic car cruise through the downtown area from 9 a.m. to noon, also featuring live performers. Additionally, the American Legion hosts a Super Bingo event in the afternoon.
