Mexican bull riding

Organized by the Latino Broadcasting Group, this long-running event brings the traditions of a Mexican Jaripeo to the Rice County Fairgrounds. Unlike American rodeos, Mexican-style bull riding has no time limit; riders must remain on the bull until the animal calms down or they are bucked off. The event prominently features high-quality bulls and riders from renowned outfits such as Rancho Los Destructores De Memo Ocampo, based in Guerrero, Mexico.

Beyond the arena action, the festival includes performances by Mexican dancing horses and a lineup of live musical acts, including Banda Cohuich and La Energía Norteña. The fairgrounds are transformed into a "Mexican village" featuring numerous food stalls serving traditional dishes and aguas frescas. Although the event is primarily conducted in Spanish, organizers emphasize that it is a community-wide celebration open to all residents interested in experiencing Mexican ranch culture.
