‘Spreading Joy’ is a contemporary drama written by Bend-based playwright Cricket Daniel, making its debut at the Cascades Theatre. The narrative centers on three couples who come together to scatter the ashes of their friend, Joy. Her widower, Jack, invites another widow into the group, sparking a poignant exploration of how long individuals should mourn before they are permitted to embrace life and love again.
