Petaluma Fair

Now in its second year under municipal management, the Petaluma Fair was established after the City of Petaluma assumed control of the fairgrounds in 2024. The event provides a classic fair experience with a wide array of carnival rides, such as the Zipper and Ali Baba, alongside magic acts, games, and local food vendors. Based on community feedback from its debut year, the fair has reintroduced major musical headliners to the main stage for its Friday and Saturday evening schedules.

Agricultural heritage remains a central pillar of the event. Local youth from 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) participate in livestock competitions, showing sheep, cattle, and other animals. While the city oversees the general festivities, dedicated agricultural programming managers lead the livestock exhibits and community craft displays. Sunday is traditionally dedicated to Latin Heritage Day, celebrating the region's cultural roots through specific programming and entertainment.

The fair operates daily from late morning until late night. Admission is typically structured as an all-inclusive pass, which covers grounds entry, unlimited carnival rides, and access to all musical performances. While the event retains many legacy elements, some historical attractions like the World’s Ugliest Dog contest have moved to other regional venues following the organizational rebranding.
