Brackenridge 125th Anniversary Festival

The Brackenridge 125th Anniversary Festival commemorates the borough's 125th year with a weekend of public festivities at Brackenridge Memorial Park and First Avenue. Scheduled from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, the event serves as a major community milestone highlighting local history and civic pride.

Festival activities include a wide array of live musical performances staged at the park’s "Castle" memorial, featuring local bands and percussion groups. A notable highlight is the car show, which includes a rare 1967 stainless steel Lincoln Continental. Attendees can also participate in community projects, such as suggesting items for a commemorative time capsule to be buried later in the year.

For families, the event provides entertainment such as a barrel train, face painting, a bouncy house, and a stationary hot air balloon exhibit. Local organizations and food vendors offer various refreshments, including traditional fair foods like funnel cakes and hot sausages. The festival is organized by the Brackenridge Improvement Group with support from the borough and local industry partners.
