Dixon Municipal Band's Summer Sounds concert series

The Dixon Municipal Band invites the community to an evening of live music as part of its Summer Sounds concert series. This specific concert takes place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Page Park Band Shell in Dixon.

The program for the evening includes a diverse selection of music, such as classic concert marches like “National Emblem March,” “March Creole,” and “Peace Jubilee March.” Attendees can also enjoy the sonorities of “Overture for Winds,” the spirited “Kimberly Overture,” and the playful “Slippery Slides.” The program further features Astor Piazzolla’s “Libertango,” Glenn Miller’s “In the Mood,” and the trumpet feature “Alley Cat on a Hot Trumpet.”

As always, the concert is free and open to the public. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or utilize the available bench seating. Door prizes will be awarded courtesy of local businesses, and Roiel Scoop Ice Cream will be on site offering refreshments for purchase.
