Northern Uganda Farm Festival

The Northern Uganda Farm Festival, themed “Kodi Pa Lyec – Seeds of Greatness,” aims to be a comprehensive platform that transcends a typical exhibition. It gathers farmers, cooperatives, agripreneurs, businesses, youth, cultural leaders, investors, financial institutions, development partners, government agencies, and host communities. The festival seeks to address regional gaps in agriculture and enterprise by fostering connections and discussions.

Attendees can expect a program blending practical farm learning with public celebration. Activities include exploring various exhibitions, experiencing live farming activities, sampling regional food, and enjoying cultural performances and music. The festival also hosts conversations and networking opportunities focused on topics such as markets, technology, youth enterprise, and value addition.

The event's founder, Beatrice Mao, intends for the festival to become an annual meeting point for Northern Uganda, promoting collaboration and sustainable growth across the West Nile, Acholi, Lango, and Karamoja sub-regions. It serves as a platform to celebrate local strengths, understand opportunities, identify challenges, and build relationships to move the region forward.
