Türkiye International Artificial Intelligence (AI) Film Festival

The Türkiye International Artificial Intelligence (AI) Film Festival (TAIFF) returns for its third installment from December 7 to 9, 2026, in Istanbul. The event will be held at the Yesilcam Cinema, located within the historic Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM). This setting symbolically links Türkiye's traditional film industry, represented by the Yesilcam district, with the future of cinema driven by artificial intelligence. Since its inaugural year in 2024, TAIFF has garnered over 2,000 film submissions from more than 100 countries globally.

A significant update for the 2026 edition is the introduction of refined judging criteria. For the first time, AI-generated films will be assessed not merely as final products but also across distinct phases of the production process where AI is utilized, including scriptwriting, visual effects, and post-production. The festival will present awards in numerous categories, such as the Grand Prize Best AI Film, Best AI Director, Actor, Cinematographer, Editing, Sound Design, Music, Visual Effects, Animation, and Documentary. Separate national and international winners will be recognized in each category. Submissions for participation are open through the FilmFreeway platform until November 1.
